...She's gone. Mao, Yin, Huang, Misaki-

There is a pattern of integration for new arrivals. They most likely arrive in a state of distress or confusion, stripped abruptly from their worlds with disregard to convenience. Overtime confusion leads to discomfort which eventually leads to a certain disconnect. Problems become hidden under the comfortable haze that is ignorance.

Most importantly, it seems people forget that the dead are dead;no matter whether they're from the past or 'alive' in all but heartbeat. In the end, the dead here are exactly what they are -- imprints of what once was.

Don't forget they're gone.

annoyed dead guy is tired of being reminded that he's dead.
I wasn't aware that we had a problem with that.

A reminder, then.

In poor taste.

Differentiating between the living and the dead is important, but kindly don't speak of us as if we're not here.

A rather cold philosophy.

...but it's true, isn't it? It's easy to get far too comfortable here in the City.

Yes. That is certainly correct.

These second chances at "living" can be enchanting.

... I don't think people forget it, Hei.

I think they'd just... rather not remember.

That's a little different.

Havoc, I don't me-

...Maybe that ignorance is necessary sometimes; Better here than gone. As long as one does not forget.

You know... I've met people here who would rather stay here with people they've lost than go home.

I think it's kind... but sort of sad.

Re: private
...It's true.

I almost forgot about returning the longer I spent in the City. In the end, it isn't home - those beside you and oneself return without any warning. It won't keep people here forever.

It's hard to imagine.

... But it happens. That's why it's sort of sad. Putting aside life for death.

But if we're here, we're not gone. Are we?
contractorly on July 1st, 2008 11:12 pm (UTC)
Only within the City's bounds. One is gone in all other respects.
Maki: Makihandprinting on July 2nd, 2008 09:03 pm (UTC)
It's better than being gone completely.
